Configuring QoE Threshold Profiles

You can configure QoE Threshold profiles based on the templates defined by AudioCodes services or you can customize your own profiles. When you added the new Service Provider tenant, it inherited the configured QoE Threshold templates, adding them as new profiles (see Configuring QoE Thresholds). You can then customize these profiles or add additional ones.

To add a profile:
1. Access the Global scope (see Accessing Scopes).
2. From the System menu, open the QoE Profiles page (System > Configuration > Profiles > QoE Thresholds).

3. Click Add.

4. From the Tenant drop-down list, select the desired tenant that you wish to apply to the threshold.
5. Open the Topology tree and select the desired network entities that you wish to apply the thresholds.
6. Provide an intuitive name for the profile. As a reference, use the names of the four QoE Threshold Templates displayed in the table above.
7. Enter a description of the profile to facilitate effective intuitive management later.
8. Select the Device option to apply thresholds to all devices on your tenant.
9. Select the SIP Connection option to apply thresholds to all SIP Connections on your tenant.
10. Select the Endpoint option to apply thresholds to all Endpoints on your tenant.
11. Configure the Voice metrics using the table below as a reference. By default, All Voice metrics are included in the profile. To exclude a metric, clear its check box. To define the MOS metric, for example, click the bar or drag the markers. Each bar unit increments or decreases the threshold by 0.1 (MOS, Packet Loss), or by 1 (Delay, Jitter, Echo). Use the following table as a reference.

Template

Description

Low Sensitivity Threshold

Threshold values representing recommended data for the 'Low' sensitivity level.

Medium Sensitivity Threshold

Threshold values representing recommended data for the 'Medium' sensitivity level.

High Sensitivity Threshold

Threshold values representing recommended data for the 'High' sensitivity level.

MS Teams Threshold

Threshold values representing recommended data for the 'MS Teams' threshold. For Teams devices, AudioCodes recommends you use the Microsoft Teams threshold. It's a threshold that is added by default to each tenant. It enables calculating the quality of Teams calls.

12. Click the Video tab to configure the Microsoft Teams Video metrics using the table below as a reference.

All default values in Teams QoE Thresholds are based on recommended Microsoft CQD (Call Quality Dashboard) values. Operators can customize them per Teams device (Teams Tenant).
